Accessibility Statement

ImageToSpeech exists because the visual web isn't accessible to everyone. We hold ourselves to the same standard we ask of others — WCAG 2.2 AA and beyond.

Last updated: May 18, 2026

Our commitment

We design and build ImageToSpeech.org in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility audits are part of every major release and we welcome reports from the community.

Built for blind and low-vision users

Every flow — upload, OCR review, voice selection, playback, download — works with keyboard only and with major screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack). We use semantic HTML, ARIA where needed, descriptive labels and visible focus states.

Dyslexia support

  • Adjustable playback speed and pitch
  • Choice of calm, natural voices
  • Generous line height and large click targets
  • Optional high-contrast mode and theme switching

Screen-reader compatibility

All interactive elements are reachable with Tab/Shift+Tab, decorated with accessible names, and announce their state. Live regions announce processing progress and errors.

Known limitations

Some marketing animations are decorative and may not be announced. We honor prefers-reduced-motion to disable non-essential motion automatically.
